Best Travel Destinations this Autumn!

Hello Ladies,

We all can feel shorter days, chilly mornings and changing colours of nature. To some of us, it means cozy hoodie and a warm cup of the coffee season is here and that the summer is over. Don’t let the colder weather get you down, in fact, the autumn can be as good as summer when it comes to travelling. There are many beautiful places in the world that are ideal to visit during the Autumn months. We have prepared you a list of recommended places worth visiting. Most of them even have off-peak ticket prices so it's worth booking a holiday for sure.

1. Torres del Paine, Chile

Region of Patagonia is famed for its rugged terrain, Andean peaks and home to multiple largest glaciers in the world. A trip to Torres del Paine in Chile is a wonderful experience, ideal to go on an adventure in Fall.
Best time to visit: Late September to December
Patagonia is in the south of the equator so you will be heading into Chile’s spring season. You will be able to enjoy more hours of daylight, less wind and warmer temperatures. The snow starts to melt and animal sightings increase and the flora blooms during these months.
Things to do:
  • Hike the French Valley
  • Ice hike the Grey Glacier
  • Ride horseback through Torres Del Paine national park
  • Kayak the Grey Glacier
  • The Mirador Las Torres (Base of the Towers) Hike
Tips: This place is ideal for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. Off-season prices offer you a choice of stress-free hiking adventure and enjoy stunning nature. 2. Utrecht, Netherlands

Enjoy the shades of yellow, red and orange embellishing old canals in Utrecht. Colours of Autumn makes these ancient canals look truly magical. The canals with their wharf cellars are one of a kind in the world and dating back to the 12th century. The wharves were built to act as an inner-city harbour so that the boats could dock and unload the goods directly in the cellars.
Today, the wharf cellars are made into cosy cafes, restaurants, and bars. This city offers historical sightseeings and cosy atmosphere.
Best time to visit: All year-round. For cheaper travel tickets consider visiting the city during Autumn or winter months. If you travel in early Autumn (September or October) chances are you will catch a fair bit of sunshine and nice weather.

Tips: Utrecht is an ideal Autumn city break destination. You will find old, mysterious canals and narrow streets, cosy cafes and bars, beautiful architecture and also plenty of unique shops for souvenirs. The temperature stays around 15.0°C during the day in Autumn, but in the winter months the temperature can drop below 10.0°C

3. Mount Fuji, Japan

If you love a combination of autumn striking colours and beautiful landscape, then you will love Mount Fuji in Autumn. There is an annual festival called Fujikawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival, celebrating the bronzy red hue of the cherry and maple trees covering the area. The late-night food stalls under the brightly lit trees make it perfect for a romantic evening at the foot of the mountain. Go on a hike up the mountain escaping the haze that floats over Lake Kawaguchiko and enjoy the beautiful scenery expanding as you go up the mountain.
Best time to visit: if you wish to see the whole mountain and avoid clouds the best chance to see the mountain clearly is if you travel between late October to February.
Things to do:
  • Visit the mountain temple Chureito Pagoda & Arakura Sengen Shrine
  • Explore areas around Lake Kawaguchi
  • Go on a hike up the Mount Fuji
  • Attend Kawaguchi Autumn Leaves Festival
  • Visit Kubota Itchiku Art Museum
  • Walk across Maple Corridor
Try the local food. You will find many places offering traditional Japanese dishes. It can get cold in autumn so bring some warm clothes as the temperatures can vary depending on the time of day and how far up the mountain you are.

4.Snowdonia National Park, Wales

 September brings autumn vibes to England, everything slows down and nature starts changing colour. The countryside during the autumn months can be an absolute relief, especially if you want to escape the city. Usually, there aren’t many tourists during autumn so that gives you peace of mind and even better prices. Snowdonia is located in Wales and can be reached by car, bus or train. Tips: A must visit place for hiking enthusiasts. Book a hotel for a few days. Sometimes a day in Wales might not be enough so why not stay somewhere in Wales and plan your journey so you can see all of the breathtaking views? Don’t forget to bring some warm clothes and comfortable hiking boots.


We all know that Greece is a popular travel destination in Summer but it can be as great even in Autumn. Crowds of tourists thin out, prices drop and the best thing is that the weather stays warm making in the perfect time to explore famous attractions in Greece. Autumn is also the time of harvest which adds a new charm to it. The many wineries and traditional taverns are busy with the harvest and you might even get to attend some or try the fresh goods. Warm and sunny weather also means that you can enjoy the time at the beach by the Aegean sea.
Best time to visit: Late April to November. October - November (reduced prices)
Things to do:
  • Head to the home of the centaurs — Mount Pelion
  • Visit the famous Acropolis
  • Visit the Temple of Poseidon
  • Try traditional Greek restaurants
  • Go on a day tour
  • Go to Elafonissi Beach
Tips: Eat and drink like a local, try out the cuisine and as for the local barrelled wine. Carry some cash with you, some smaller restaurants or pubs don't accept credit cards. Get on a ferry and travel the Greek Islands.

6.Tuscany, Italy

During fall Italy offers some amazing greenery and unique experience. Why not attend vendemmia (autumn grape harvest), you can find this all over Tuscany. Various food festivals and celebrations happen between October & November. You will find many events which offer a chance to taste the fresh products and enjoy the autumn vibes. In Tuscany, you will also find many places worth visiting no matter which time of the year.
Best time to visit: to enjoy harvest events and fewer tourists then late September - November is the best time to go.
Things to do:
  • Wine tasting
  • Sightseeing tours
  • Taste truffles (special kind of mushrooms grown locally)
  • Make a pilgrimage to La Verna
  • Visit Firenze (Florence)
  • Go to the SPA in Bagno Vignoni
  • Hiking in the Casentino National Park
  • Attend various grape and olive harvest festivals
Tips: Tuscany should be a place to go to if you love wine, as you will find plenty of it. The weather in autumn is still quite warm but the nights and early mornings can be quite chilly so make sure you take a warm sweater or a coat with you. It is advisable to plan your trip beforehand and bring and actual map with you if you decide to go around by car. Although, if you are planning to travel around the main attraction areas such as Florence, Lucca or Siena they are all reachable by train and saves you the headache of finding a good parking space.


With the rainy season out of the way, autumn is the best time to visit Nepal. The weather is a lot drier and cleared and therefore it’s perfect for trekking in the mountains and white water rafting. There are also two mesmerizing Hindu festivals for you to visit - Dashain and Tihar. Nepal offers truly amazing views of the Himalayas and exciting cultural traditions and art reflecting the unique culture of the locals.
Best time to visit: mid-September to November
Things to do:
  • Visit Pashupatinath temple
  • Go trekking in the Himalayas
  • Visit Lumbini the birthplace of Buddha
  • Everest Mountain flight (for those who don’t want to trek)
  • Go paragliding
  • Visit Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park
  • Try mountain yoga
  • Try the local cuisine
Tips: there are many attractions in this stunning place, therefore plan your time to see as many as you can. The weather stays generally warm in Autumn but it changes quickly depending on the altitude, so if you are going Everest trekking you will need to take warm layers of clothes with you and appropriate trekking shoes.

8. Tulum, Mexico

Tulum has become a favourite place for tourists due to its white-sand beaches, pleasant weather and blue sea. Hurricane season ends in October, so late autumn is the perfect time to visit and enjoy a mojito in hand while lying on a white-sand beach. Or if you would like to have a more active holiday explore the Mayan ruins located more inland. Also during the autumn whole of Mexico celebrates one of its biggest holidays: Day of the Dead.
Best time to visit: October - April
Things to do:
  • Hang out on Playa Paraiso beach
  • Visit Tulum Ruins
  • Take a mud bath
  • Try the local burritos
  • Enjoy live music and nightlife at Batey 
  • Go kitesurfing
  • Explore the Caves at Cenote Caracol
